Who are your retreats for?
Our retreats are for people in their 30s to 60s who are craving an exciting, life-affirming adventure, whether you’re navigating a life transition, burned out from years of putting everyone else first, or simply sensing that something needs to shift. The Gay Men’s Retreat is designed specifically for gay men. Solo Resets and Bespoke Mini-Groups are open to everyone.
I’m not “spiritual” — is this still for me?
Absolutely. Our work is grounded in personal coaching, movement, nature, and genuine human connection. We do incorporate sound therapy, which can feel unfamiliar at first, but it’s not mystical — it’s deeply restorative, and most guests consider it one of the highlights. No chanting, no incense, no requirement to believe anything. Just an open mind.
What actually happens during the week?
Our retreats alternate between ‘inner’ days — coaching workshops, fitness sessions, sound therapy — and ‘outer’ exploration days in Crete, hiking gorges, wild swimming, local food, and the island’s less-travelled corners. It’s not all sitting in a circle. It’s an adventure. Solo Resets and Mini-Groups are more bespoke — every day is designed around you, not a fixed programme.
How physically demanding is it?
We welcome all fitness levels. The one thing we ask is that you can comfortably hike for around three hours. All fitness sessions are tailored to where you are, not where you think you should be. Nobody is left behind, and nobody is pressured. Ed has been training people at every level for years, and meeting people where they are is his thing.
I’ve never done a retreat before. Will I fit in?
Yes — and you’re in good company. Most of our guests are first-timers travelling solo, and they consistently say it was easier than they expected to settle in. Ed and Rob set the tone from the first moment. You don’t need any experience, just curiosity and a willingness to show up.
What’s included in the price — and what isn’t?
For the Gay Men’s Retreat, the price includes accommodation, all meals at the venue, airport transfers to and from Chania, all sessions and materials. Flights, travel insurance and any visa fees are not included.
For Solo Resets and Mini-Groups, programme prices do not include accommodation, flights, travel insurance and visa fees.
Where are the retreats held, and how do I get there?
Our retreats are spread across two of Crete’s most beautiful regions. The Gay Men’s Retreat is held at a private villa just outside Douliana in the Apokoronas area of West Crete — a stunning part of the island with gorges, olive groves, and coast on the doorstep. You fly into Chania Airport (CHQ).
Solo Resets and Bespoke Mini-Groups take place in the Rethymno area, with accommodation chosen to suit your preferences and budget. For these you can fly into either Chania or Heraklion — both work well and we’ll advise on the best option when we talk.
What are the different retreat options and prices?
We offer three kinds of retreat.
The Gay Men’s Retreat is an 8-day group adventure with accommodation included from £1,600pp.
Solo Resets are fully bespoke 1:1 experiences available year-round, from £2,080 for a 4-night programme in high season (May-October).
Bespoke Mini-Groups are private retreats for 3–5 people from £1,150pp for a group of 5 in high season. Request our price list for the full picture, or book a call and we’ll talk you through the right fit.
How do I book — and can I talk to someone first?
We speak to everyone interested in one of our retreats to ensure it’s a right fit for both parties. Our first step is a free discovery call — about 30 minutes, no pressure, no obligation. Most people leave the call with a much clearer sense of what to expect and whether it’s right for them. Book yours here.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. We ask for a 25% deposit to secure your place, followed by one or two further payments (depending on the date of booking), and the balance due 4 weeks before arrival. More instalment plans are available — just mention it on your discovery call and we’ll find something that works. We want this to be as accessible as possible.
